Hilton Head and Bluffton Tennis
Our
semi-tropical climate is ideal for tennis almost 365 days per year.
Hilton Head is said to have more tennis courts per capita than anywhere
else. Most villas have their own private tennis courts where you can
play while on vacation or as a resident of the villa community. Most
gated communities have private tennis
clubs but some of these are open to the public and also provide tennis
lessons and clinics. The local Tennis Association of Hilton Head Island
is very active in community leagues, tournaments, community teaching
programs, and most anything local about tennis:

Our
moderate weather has makes indoor tennis courts unnecessary but we have
some anyway: Indoor courts at the Shipyard Racket Club and covered
courts at the Forest Beach Racket Club, both Van Der Meer Tennis Clubs
(see list, below). These and other places where the public can play are
listed below:
Free
public tennis courts on Carrillo Parkway (Forest Beach) and in Chastain
Park (mid-Island between Folly Field and Palmetto Dunes.
